Board of Assessors grants 7 exemptions, denies 2

Bourne Assessors approve exemptions and abatements in executive session. The Board of Assessors granted seven Fiscal Year 2026 exemptions while denying two applications during a closed-session meeting Friday morning. Board members Ellen Sullivan (Chairperson), Michael Leitzel (Member), and Peter Loughman (Clerk) voted unanimously to enter executive session at 10:08 a.m. to review Fiscal Year 2026 statutory exemptions, charitable exemptions, and real estate and personal property abatement applications.

The board also approved two real estate abatements and ten personal property abatements during the 41-minute session.
