Health · Meeting of May 27, 2026

BOURNE — Board of Health approves septic setback variances for coastal property. Vice Chair Margaret Reali moved unanimously to grant a 90-foot local variance for a 60-foot setback and an 84-foot local variance for a 66-foot setback from coastal banks for John and Colleen Mitchell's septic system upgrade at 217 Presidents Road. The expansion accommodates an increase from three to four bedrooms using the existing 1,500-gallon Micro FAST treatment system.

Health Director Kaitlyn Shea confirmed proper system maintenance and no compliance issues. The Board also reorganized, keeping Robert Collett as Chair, Margaret Reali as Vice Chair, and Dr. Miguel Prieto as Clerk, all unanimously approved.
