Board of Health approves three septic system variances at February meeting

Bourne Board of Health approves three septic variances at coastal properties. Chair Robert Collett and members voted unanimously to grant relief from Title 5 standards for new systems at 11 Bryant Road and 37 Head of the Bay Road, with deed restrictions mandating three-bedroom and one-bedroom designations respectively, and authorized Collett to execute engagement letters for the upcoming Site Assignment process with Tighe & Bond, KP Law, and Hearing Officer John Shea. The board also granted a waiver allowing a four-bedroom septic system at 537 Scraggy Neck Road to continue operating if the garage room is designated as non-bedroom and used only in summer months.
