Bourne Board of Health approves variances for two residential septic projects. The board unanimously granted variances for 41 Wamsutta Avenue, allowing a 1900s dwelling to be razed and rebuilt at 140 percent larger while maintaining three bedrooms, including a 6-foot local upgrade waiver for a 4-foot setback from a property line and a 1.2-foot waiver for soil absorption system depth, with an added requirement for impervious membrane protection; the board also unanimously approved continued use of the existing septic system at 66 Jefferson Road for a dwelling addition. Health Director Kaitlyn Shea reported beach testing with no fecal coliform exceedances and one resolved cyanobacteria concern at Queen Sewall Pond.
