Board of Health grants septic waiver for interior remodel at 160 Jefferson Rd

BOURNE — Board of Health approves continued septic system use for interior remodel. The board unanimously granted a waiver permitting Bill Driscoll of Craft Construction, LLC, representing owner William J. Donovan Jr., to continue using an existing septic system at 160 Jefferson Road under Building Permit Number B-26-10, despite the system not meeting all local regulations when installed in 2014.
Health Director Kaitlyn Shea confirmed the system passed recent Title 5 inspection and remains functional as the property undergoes an interior remodel reducing bedroom count from five to three. Dr. Miguel Prieto moved approval with explicit language blocking future modifications or expansions without board review; all four members voted in favor.
