Bourne approves sewage system variances pending conservation approval

Bourne Board of Health approves sewage system variances for Harbor View Road. Health Director Kaitlyn Shea and the board unanimously approved multiple setback exceptions for an innovative septic system upgrade at 28 Harbor View Road, contingent on Conservation Commission review. The variances included reductions ranging from 8 to 25.2 feet from required setbacks to address site constraints near salt marsh.
The board also continued a septic variance hearing for 37 Head of the Bay Road to February after concerns about residential zoning feasibility were raised.
