Bourne Board of Assessors, Finance Committee Set To Meet This Week

BOURNE — Bourne's Board of Assessors meets Friday, and the Finance Committee follows Monday, as the town's municipal meeting schedule fills out heading into September alongside a nearing application deadline for two open town board seats and the start of the school year.

TOWN HALL Bourne's Board of Assessors meets Friday, Aug. 28, followed by the Finance Committee on Monday, Aug. 31, according to the town's online calendar, as the municipal meeting schedule picks up heading into September. The town's News Flash also carries a standing reminder that the intersection of Barlows Landing and Shore roads became a permanent four-way stop earlier this summer, a change the town first announced in June.

Applications remain open for one seat each on the Planning Board and School Committee, both due by 4 p.m. Sept. 2, a story the town's News Flash has continued to update as the deadline approaches.

SCHOOLS Bourne Public Schools has set its School Committee to meet Sept. 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bourne High School, 75 Waterhouse Road, the panel's first regular session of the new school year, which also begins that day for students in grades 1 through 12.
