Health · Meeting of March 11, 2026

BOURNE — Board of Health approves six septic system variances and deadline extension. The board unanimously granted relief from state septic regulations for five property owners and extended a December 15, 2026 completion deadline for a noncompliant system at 1 Monument Avenue, deferring associated fines pending Department of Public Works Fall/Winter construction windows. Health Director Kaitlyn Shea presented background on each request; the 821 Shore Road approval, continued from January 28, was conditioned on pressure distribution with nitrate capturing and followed Conservation Commission review.

All five 2026 variances were approved unanimously by Chair Robert Collett, Vice Chair Margaret Reali, Clerk Dr. Miguel Prieto, William Meier, and Donald Ellis.
