Commission approves dormers on circa 1900 Pocasset house.

BOURNE — The Bourne Historical Commission unanimously approved exterior alterations to a circa 1900 dwelling at 5 Spurr Road, Pocasset, including dormers on the second floor gable roof. Chair Neil F. Langille reported a Zoom meeting scheduled for January 14 with 16 agencies, including the Federal Highway Administration and Army Corps of Engineers, to address signage preservation on the Cape Cod Canal Highway Bridges.

Members authorized discussion of a new letter reiterating the commission's request that Bourne receive some of the original signage. Two residents have filed Talent Bank Forms to serve on the commission, with applications pending Select Board review on January 13, 2026.
