Conservation Commission · Meeting of May 7, 2026

Bourne Conservation Commission approved eight Orders of Conditions for coastal and wetland applications at its May 7 meeting, including revisions to three dune stabilization projects previously appealed by state regulators. Five final Orders were issued for Notice of Intent projects affecting coastal and wetland resources in Pocasset, Cataumet, and Monument Beach, all approved unanimously or nearly so. Three amended Orders approved for residential dune stabilization projects in Gray Gables were originally issued in February 2025 but appealed by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection in March; according to Conservation Agent Stephanie Fitch, the department anticipates withdrawing its appeal if the Commission approves the revisions.

Additionally, the Commission issued a Negative 2 Determination for a proposed portico addition at 34 Beverly Road, Pocasset, and continued three other applications to later dates.
