Bourne Conservation Commission seeks Select Board coordination on Sagamore Bridge replacement project. The Commission voted to direct Conservation Agent Stephanie Fitch to communicate with the Select Board regarding a memorandum of understanding on Sagamore Bridge replacement, a major infrastructure project under contentious review. Chair Robert Gray said the Commission would proceed assuming local bylaw authority unless MassDOT provides written proof of state exemption.
Commission member Jacob Gadbois questioned plans for safe pedestrian and bicycle passage, noting 900 daily summer path users. Police Chief Brandon Esip testified the path is vital for police and fire operations. The hearing was continued to June 4.
The Commission also approved three permit applications and finalized an Order of Conditions.
