Council on Aging launches community needs assessment survey

Council On Aging · Meeting of February 19, 2026

BOURNE — Council on Aging launches community needs assessment to identify senior service gaps and preferences. The Bourne Council on Aging is partnering with UMass Boston's Center for Social and Demographic Research on Aging to conduct the comprehensive study. The survey will reach approximately 5,000 residents age 60 and older through mail, local drop-offs, and telephone options, covering topics including health, financial security, housing stability, transportation access, technology access, and awareness of Council programs.

The board plans to publicize the survey in June and will make materials available in Spanish and Portuguese.
