Historical Commission convenes on preservation projects and plaques.

Bourne Historical Commission met to survey ongoing preservation work. Chair Neil F. Langille opened the April 14 meeting at the Jonathan Bourne Historical Center to review the secretary's report and nine unfinished projects, including National Historic Register plaque installation at Town Hall and the Jonathan Bourne Public Library, restoration of the Historical Center's stained and leaded glass windows using Community Preservation Act funding, and oversight of the amended preservation restriction at the former Hoxie School (Anna's Pals), with a pending letter of support for window replacement.
The Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument eagle repair is scheduled for 2034 under its ten-year maintenance cycle. The commission scheduled its next regular meeting for May 12, 2026.
