Select Board Holds Amended Session as DEIB, Health Boards Meet
Patuisset Beach has reopened for swimming, the town announced, while Bourne's summer calendar of civic meetings and outdoor community events moves into full swing this week.

The town's News Flash feed confirmed that Patuisset Beach has reopened for swimming, ending a closure whose cause was not detailed in the town's posting. Residents planning beach trips this week can expect normal access at the site.
The town also reiterated an earlier change to traffic patterns at Barlows Landing and Shore Roads, where the intersection became a four-way stop as of June 29. The Select Board is scheduled to meet in executive and open session on Tuesday, July 21, alongside meetings this week of the Board of Assessors, the ISWM Building Committee, and the Trustees of the Veterans Memorial Community Building. The Board of Health has a hybrid meeting set for Wednesday, July 22.

Bourne Public Schools has a District DEIB Committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday, July 21, held via Google Meet from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. The School Committee's next regular meeting is set for Wednesday, August 5, at Bourne High School, and the Bourne PTA will meet August 12 at the Bourne Middle School media center.

The town's community calendar lists several outdoor summer events this week: Meditations on the Beach is scheduled for Sunday, July 19; Dancing Under the Stars is set for Tuesday, July 21; and the Canal Region Farmers Market & Concerts by the Canal returns Thursday, July 23.
