Planning Board approves granite facility relocation, continues mixed-use project

Bourne Planning Board approved a granite facility relocation and continued mixed-use project review.

Planning · Meeting of June 25, 2026

Bourne Planning Board approved a granite facility relocation and continued mixed-use project review. Applicant Zac Basinski presented Amazon Granite's move from Clay Pond Road to 130 MacArthur Boulevard for stone countertop manufacturing and retail, with the board approving 6-0-1 (Vice-Chair Christopher Farrell abstaining) after Conservation Commission sign-off on drainage protections for an offsite vernal pool. John Vallee's Bay Ridge Realty proposal for 74 Cranberry Highway—four apartments and four storage bays converting a carwash site—was continued to July 23 pending resubmission of parking, lighting, and tree-planting plans; board member Steve Strojny noted a required parking minimum of 12 spaces versus the applicant's 6.4 shown and requested no parking within the building.

The board also discussed traffic concerns around school buses with plans to coordinate with the superintendent and MassDOT.
