Select Board · Meeting of January 20, 2026
Bourne Select Board approves $17.2 million bond anticipation note sale. Finance Director Erica Flemming reported the short-term BANS, sold to Jefferies LLC, will provide cash flow until authorized debt is paid down, though Town Administrator Marlene McCollem noted the Fire Station debt exclusion was withheld pending Governor's Office special legislation still awaiting enactment. The board unanimously rejected proposed Barnstable County regional luxury real estate transfer fee legislation over local revenue and housing impact concerns.
In related action, the board unanimously approved proprietary equipment specifications for the ISWM Office and Maintenance Building Project to ensure integration with existing town fuel management, fire alarm, CCTV and access control systems.
