Select Board approves ambulance-rate hike, Library Building Committee, Planning Board seat

Select Board · Meeting of January 6, 2026

Bourne Select Board approves ambulance-rate hike, library committee, and planning board appointment. The board voted 4-0 to increase EMS billing rates by eight to nine percent starting March 1, effective annually thereafter, following a six-year freeze since 2020. Town Administrator Marlene McCollem presented FY2027 budget at 92.1 million dollars, up 3.57 percent, recommending defunding of the Assistant Town Administrator position while avoiding free-cash use for operations; the Capital Outlay Committee proposed 17.45 million in capital investment.

The Select Board unanimously appointed Mandy J. Holway to a Planning Board seat expiring May 2026 and named seven members, led by Vice Chair Siroonian, to the Library Building Committee for the new downtown library on Sandwich Road.
