Select Board endorses town meeting articles, approves land donation for bridge work.
Select Board · Meeting of April 7, 2026
Bourne Select Board unanimously endorses FY 2027 budget and recommends approval of multiple town meeting articles for May. The board voted 5-0 to back Article 2 (operating budget), Articles 17 and 18 (community preservation fund grants totaling $111,500 for Housing Assistance Corporation and affordable housing services), Articles 20-22 and 30 (stabilization and reserve funds), and both special town meeting articles including unpaid bills and supplemental budget. On a controversial conservation restriction for Bourne Conservation Trust, Chair Ferretti reversed an initial no vote after colleagues aired concerns about coordination; the article now advances 4-1, with Vice Chair Siroonian dissenting on grounds the trust acted unilaterally.
The board voted 4-0-1 to donate the old Sagamore Fire Station property to the Commonwealth for bridge load-testing work.
