Bourne Select Board set seven priorities at a July retreat, ranking a Sagamore Bridge MOU process first. All five members and Town Administrator Marlene McCollem convened at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy for a facilitated goal-setting session. Second priority: capital planning; third: watershed permits.
The board also prioritized a policy shift to move debt service funding from capital stabilization to the operating budget before finalizing the FY 2028 budget. Board member Jeanne Azarovitz was tasked with drafting a charter for a Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee by September 8. The board will discuss FY 2028 budget direction, including operational override options, at its August 18 meeting.
