The Town of Bourne announced a public hearing on multiple utility pole petitions, to be held by the Select Board on Nov. 10 at 7 p.m.

The hearing will take place at the Community Center, 239 Main Street in Buzzards Bay, with a virtual option available through Zoom (meeting ID 826 8050 3097, passcode BOURNE).

Several petitions are continued from an Oct. 27, 2026 hearing. These include installing conduit and two hand holes on Douglas Avenue; installing one new jointly owned pole each on Meetinghouse Lane, Edgehill Road and Clay Pond Road; installing conduit and a pullbox at Ernest Valeri Road and Edgehill Road; and relocating equipment on a jointly owned pole on Mayflower Road.

Two new petitions will also be heard. One covers installation of conduit on Tower Lane. The other, for Washington Avenue and Electric Avenue, involves relocating three jointly owned poles, installing one guy and anchor, and installing one new jointly owned pole.

Residents can review the official public hearing notice for full details on each petition.
