Sewer Board Converts Keystone Place to Actual Flow Allocation
Bourne sewer board voted unanimously on operational allocation.
Sewer Commissioners · Meeting of June 23, 2026
Bourne sewer board voted unanimously on operational allocation. The Board of Sewer Commissioners approved converting Keystone Place at Buzzards Bay LLC from preliminary to actual flow allocation, based on four years of consumption averaging 9,000 to 10,800 gallons per day against its 14,000-gallon preliminary cap. The board discussed the 20-year Intermunicipal Agreement with Wareham expiring in 2030, deciding to continue review and explore consulting support for renewal negotiations as Wareham pursues expansion.
DPW Director Matt Sawicki reported the Buzzards Bay Wastewater Treatment Facility was operational and would begin accepting flow within days; two recent sewer main breaks raised concerns about aging infrastructure.
