Sewer Commissioners · Meeting of May 26, 2026
Bourne Sewer Commissioners authorized a $238,500 operations and maintenance contract for the Buzzards Bay Wastewater Treatment Facility, voting 5-0 to accept a Weston & Sampson bid. The contract more than doubled the prior cost of about $91,200 and expanded service to 29 hours per week with increased preventative maintenance. The facility is expected to become operational by May's end.
The Commissioners held annual officer elections, unanimously selecting Anne-Marie Siroonian as Chair, Jeanne Azarovitz as Vice Chair, and Mary Jane Mastrangelo as Clerk. The board designated five businesses as sewer system users with allocations set to actual usage and discussed Bourne's obligations under an Inter-Municipal Agreement with Wareham for wastewater treatment capital costs and state grant subsidies.
