South Side Fire Station Building Committee voted to award the general contractor position. The committee unanimously approved awarding the contract to JJ Cardosi Incorporated, pending state Attorney General approval and rebidding the heating and ventilation system.

BOURNE — South Side Fire Station Building Committee voted to award the general contractor position. The committee unanimously approved awarding the contract to JJ Cardosi Incorporated, pending state Attorney General approval and rebidding the heating and ventilation system. Project Manager Rick Pomroy said the low bid came in under budget with savings rolled to contingency.
The committee also unanimously approved two building alternates totaling $321,100: a $315,000 radiant floor heating system and $6,100 in additional glazing. With both alternates, the contract would reach $11,593,300 pending Attorney General clearance.
