BOURNE — The Zoning Board unanimously approved a supportive finding for an accessory dwelling unit at 21 Florence Street, allowing the single-bedroom ADU in an existing garage to exceed the standard 50 percent floor area limit. The board also dismissed an appeal by the Lighthouse Realty Trust regarding 20 Quaker Lane in Monument Beach after Chairman James Beyer corrected a procedural error. The board continued to February 18 the variance hearing for the South Side Fire Station at 171 Clay Pond Road, with members expressing concern that the project fails to meet Massachusetts law standards for variances, which require unusual physical hardship.
