Bourne Housing Trust, Housing Partnership Plan Joint Meeting For Aug 12

BOURNE — Bourne's Affordable Housing Trust and Housing Partnership will hold a joint meeting Wednesday, August 12, to coordinate the town's affordable housing efforts, one of five town board sessions crowding next week's calendar. The same week brings a South Side Fire Station Building Committee meeting and sessions of the Historical Commission, Board of Health and Planning Board.

SCHOOLS

Bourne Public Schools has a busy stretch ahead on its district calendar. The Bourne PTA meets Wednesday, August 12, at 6:30 p.m. in the Bourne Middle School media center. Later in the month, the district holds "Meet the Coaches" at Bourne High School on August 18, fall sports begin August 24, and New Teacher Orientation and Bourne Intermediate School's Welcome Day follow August 25 and 26.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

Bourne has two outdoor community gatherings on tap this weekend and into next week. "Meditations on the Beach" is scheduled for Sunday, August 9, and "Dancing Under the Stars" follows Tuesday, August 11, according to the town's community calendar.
