BOURNE -- Youth soccer takes center stage in Bourne this week as the local recreational program firms up its fall season calendar.

YOUTH LEAGUES -- The Bourne Youth Soccer Association announced on its website that "Rec Soccer Picture Day" is set for September 19, "for team and individual photos." The association also posted a "Week one rec Schedule" notice, directing families to click through for details.

The BYSA's online events calendar lists more than a dozen recreational matchups scheduled for September 19 at Bourne Middle School's fields, split across morning time slots. Games listed for 8 a.m. include Team Murdock vs. Team Riley-West, Team Snow vs. Team Dumais-Cox, Team Girouard vs. Team Lunedei, Team Lewis vs. Team Gropman, Team Provost vs. Team Doyle, Team Seelig vs. Team Valentim and Team Mullaney vs. Team McWilliams. A 9 a.m. slate includes Team Thomas vs. Team Loughman, Team Roth vs. Team Robertson, Team Simard vs. Team Arpe, Team Lahaie vs. Team Miller and Team Elliot vs. Team Sweeney, followed by a 10 a.m. round featuring Team Winters vs. Team Durgin-Whitman, Team Loughman vs. Team Pierce and Team Roth vs. Team Bevilacqua, among others, spread across BMS Fields 1, 2, 5 and 6.
