Planning Board approves storage building expansions on MacArthur Boulevard
Planning Board · Meeting of August 27, 2026
Bourne Planning Board approves two MacArthur Boulevard storage expansions, opens zoning rewrite. The board voted 7-0 to let Campbell's Boat Works build a 9,980-square-foot second storage building at 790 MacArthur Boulevard, with architect Greg Cernan noting new lighting would use "cut-off lens" wall packs to limit glare toward neighbors. It voted 8-0 to approve a 1,470-square-foot storage addition at 18 Foster Howard Road for Rocco Realty 2 LLC, striking a duplicate condition first.
Engineer Zach Lasinski also secured unanimous approval to merge three parcels at 880 Head of the Bay Road after discovering a 1950 survey error had misplaced the Bourne-Plymouth town line by about 40 feet. The board spent the balance of the meeting mapping a two-year zoning bylaw rewrite agenda, targeting landscaping, dark-sky lighting and floodplain-wait-period fixes for the spring 2027 annual town meeting and pushing a townwide 10 percent inclusionary housing requirement to 2028.
